Zach Finn Williams (aka Z.F. Williams) is a prolific feature-length and short film screenwriter, experienced director and editor, and classically trained musician and composer. His distinct, detail-oriented and atmospheric filmmaking style is reflected in the series of short films he created while at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (Film & TV ‘21), by turns reflective, hilarious, scary and suspenseful.
Prior to NYU, Williams studied instrumental music at the Orange County School of the Arts, and he continues to compose and perform scores and songs for his films as well as other projects. Since graduating Magna Cum Laude from NYU (and also in receipt of the NYU Founders Day Award), Williams has been writing and directing more short films while working on a NetFlix series (title currently under NDA) directed by Academy Award nominated and Peabody and Emmy winning documentarian Sam Pollard; and on a soon-to-be-released comedy series for HBO.
VAULTED is Williams’ latest in a string of uniquely entertaining short films that also include CONFESSIONS OF THE WAVE, MY ANGEL SINGS, and THREADLESS. Williams shot VAULTED, which he wrote, directed and scored, during the pandemic and on location at a secluded log cabin the Catskills alongside a cast and crew of 20. He has appeared as an actor and musical performer in several other projects including HONOR COUNCIL produced by Josh Hutcherson of THE HUNGER GAMES.
Bi-coastal by nature, Williams is equally at home in NYC and LA and currently resides in Los Angeles.
